Kengo Kuma - Rebuilding the relationship with nature
Interview with Kengo Kuma, architect
We need to create a new way of experiencing cities, of living in nature. In the past, architecture has dedicated itself to the creation of large, increasingly large boxes, now we have to deal with redesigning the outdoor space, the streets, squares, parks. In Tokyo, the relationship between the interior and exterior of buildings, between private space and nature is very open and flexible. As an effect of the pandemic, issues of eco-sustainability have become very important, but they must be faced with attention to the global ecosystem.
