Molitor is a range of Porcelain Stoneware slabs produced by Gigacer, part of the LCS Le Corbusier collection in which, as the name suggests, pays homage to the building designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret.

The building, built between 1931 and 1934, is located at the border between the city of Paris and the commune of Boulogne-Billancourt, France; it is also part of the Unesco World Heritage together with other 16 architectural works made by the French Master.

Les Couleurs Suisse AG of Zurich, which holds the worldwide exclusive rights to the LCS’ unique system of the Polychromie Architecturale, has granted to Gigacer the license to use the original colours of the Les Couleurs’ Le Corbusier on the collection LCS Ceramics, porcelain stoneware for the architecture.

Nome

Molitor has been created starting from different colours of the Polychromie Architecturale, and it is inspired by the flooring of the building in which Le Corbusier had built his apartment and atelier. As a tribute to his work, Gigacer wanted to complete its Molitor range with a decoration that was reminiscent of the glassblock walls with the LCS3 decoration developed in any of the six colours shades coded in the collection. The result is a linear solution, with a slightly vintage flavor, but rigorous in appearance and clean in combinations.
