Across glass, ceramics, stone and metal, an itinerary in contemporary design spanning The Pool NYC, Nilufar Depot, Casa Conte and Alimonti

At Milan Design Week 2026, Etereo chooses not to focus on a single space, but to create a route that moves across the city. Four projects, four different contexts - between 5VIE, Lancetti, Montenapoleone and Corso Venezia - united by the same research on material and on how it can activate space. Founded by Mirko Sala Tenna and Stefania Digregorio, the collective - active between Milan and Dubai - operates across architecture, interiors and collectible design. The focus is not form itself, but what happens when materials, surfaces and proportions come into relation with those who experience them.

The first intervention takes place in the 5VIE district, where in the spaces of The Pool NYC (via Santa Maria Fulcorina 20), Etereo - in partnership with I.F.O. (Italian Fit Out) Srl - presents the Mo.du.lo collection, produced exclusively for the art gallery StudioTwentySeven. Mo.du.lo works with glass as both a structural and perceptual element. Fused blocks create essential, almost primary volumes that change with light and movement. The collection stems from a contemporary reinterpretation of iconic Italian design from the 1970s, through the use of fused glass and metal details.

At Nilufar Depot (viale Lancetti 34), with which Etereo has already collaborated, the approach shifts. Imago takes shape through a three-seater sofa and an armchair, moving closer to the language of art. Domestic elements that move beyond pure function are defined by a glazed ceramic backrest - a sort of spine created by Venetian artist Pol Polloniato - which introduces a narrative dimension articulated across three cycles: the Muses, the celestial world and the vegetal world. The work thus takes the form of a double-sided composition in which art and design coexist, while surfaces - wood, bronze, velvet - construct a system of contrasts that is activated through perception.

Inside the bespoke design apartment Casa Conte (via Montenapoleone 18), the Ophelia collection, composed of seating and a dining table, takes a more controlled direction. The forms look to the delicacy of nature, but are translated into solid, almost architectural structures. The Fusion quartzite table and leather seating work within a continuous tension between softness and rigor, transforming an organic reference into a constructed presence.

The route concludes at the Alimonti showroom (Corso Venezia 53), a historic Italian company specializing in the processing of natural stone, where Etereo also intervenes by rethinking the space. Here Medusa takes shape, a collection composed of four lamps, a console and a furnishing element. The project explores the tension between softness and density through the encounter between stone and metal: the surface of the stone is treated like a textile, with folds and torsions that alter its rigidity. The result is a perceptual, almost fluid ensemble, amplified by an environment conceived as an integral part of the project: velvet-covered walls, marked by soft ripples, accompany the flow of forms, creating an intimate and immersive setting.

More than a sequence of collections, Etereo’s work unfolds as an urban itinerary. An open system in which each stop tests the relationship between material and space, allowing differences, contrasts and possibilities to emerge. Supporting this itinerant journey, the partnership with Microlino - a sustainable and 100% electric microcar produced in Turin - will allow visitors to move easily between the different locations where the collective is present and to immerse themselves in its artistic vision.
