Discover the immersive installation by Margraf and Hannes Peer in Milan, where marble becomes the true protagonist of space and architecture
During Milan Design Week 2026, Margraf presents La Casa di Marmo a new project designed by Hannes Peer Architecture. Located in the heart of the Brera Design District, the installation offers a unique immersive experience where marble is not merely decorative but becomes a total architectural element, shaping walls, floors, and ceilings within a continuous and cohesive environment.
Hidden beneath the garden of a historic villa at Via Cernaia 1, the installation guides visitors through a sensory journey, centered around a patio that plays with light and water, creating reflections and ever-changing atmospheres. Surfaces in Santafiora®, an Italian stone sourced from a Margraf-owned quarry in Tuscany, define the warmth and tonal quality of the space, highlighting the material’s technical and aesthetic potential.

The path unfolds through a sequence of environments that reinterpret contemporary domestic spaces, where natural stone surfaces, light effects, and refined materials enhance the visitor experience. The project is the result of the synergy between Hannes Peer’s creative vision and Margraf’s century-long expertise, overseeing the entire production process, from material sourcing to the realization of architectural elements.
