Over 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries: at its 64th edition, the event debuts Salone Raritas, while the Salone Contract project introduces curated routes and talks at the fair, ahead of its official launch in April 2027
Great anticipation this morning at the Triennale for the press conference of the 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano, scheduled at Rho Fiera from April 21 to 26, 2026. More than just a trade fair, it presents an updated map of the design of the future, with over 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries, 169,000 square meters of exhibition space, and a dense program of debuts, returns, and new formats that reflect a sector in profound transformation. The message is clear from the outset: today, design is no longer just about products, but about systems, culture, experience, and strategy. And the Salone moves accordingly, shaping an edition that is more readable, more connected, and more international.
Among the most significant new features is the debut of Salone Raritas (Halls 9–11), a new section dedicated to collectible design, bringing together historical icons, unique pieces, limited editions, antiques, and high-end contemporary craftsmanship. Twenty-five international exhibitors - including Nilufar, COLLECTIONAL, Salviati x Draga & Aurel, Mouromtsev Design Editions, Mercado Moderno, Bianco67, and Brun Fine Art - create a collective narrative made up of diverse languages, origins, and visions, united by a shared commitment to excellence and research. Curated by Annalisa Rosso and designed by Formafantasma, the exhibition space becomes an essential and refined environment, conceived to place objects at center stage and to make their value immediately legible for architects, interior designers, and hospitality professionals.

Alongside this new area, A Luxury Way returns, the pathway dedicated to luxury as a contemporary vision and sensibility. At its core is the immersive installation Aurea, an Architectural Fiction, by Maison Numéro 20: an imaginary hotel conceived as a narrative of rooms, atmospheres, and suggestions. Between winter gardens and surreal dining rooms, interior design becomes an emotional experience, blending Art Deco, cinema, Eastern symbolism, and a strong focus on material sustainability.
2026 also marks an important step toward the future with Salone Contract, the project exploring integrated solutions for hospitality, retail, real estate, and marine sectors. The Masterplan is curated by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten (OMA), and this year the theme already enters the fair through dedicated routes, talks, international forums, and B2B networking opportunities.
The Biennials once again stand out as one of the most dynamic hubs of the edition. EuroCucina, together with FTK - Technology For the Kitchen, presents a kitchen that is increasingly intelligent, sustainable, and customizable: interactive surfaces, appliances that learn from user habits, AI integration, green materials, and a new balance between technology and well-being.
The Salone Internazionale del Bagno, meanwhile, moves toward the concept of the “home spa” and longevity: spaces designed to last over time, accessible, modular, technologically advanced yet discreet. As always, strong attention is given to emerging talent through SaloneSatellite, hosting 700 designers under 35 from 43 countries. The 2026 theme, Maestria artigiana + Innovazione, invites a rethinking of craftsmanship as the language of the future - a field where manual skills, technology, and cultural vision converge to build new design possibilities.

The visitor experience is also being reimagined, thanks to a new wayfinding system designed by Leftloft: more intuitive, inspired by metropolitan maps, and conceived to improve orientation and make the complexity of the Salone more accessible and fluid. During Milan Design Week, the Salone renews for the sixth year its collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala, while several urban landmarks also return, including the Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala and a new special project developed in partnership with K-Way. Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 thus presents itself as an observatory on the future: a place where changes in living are interpreted, new design languages are tested, and the connections that will shape the next decade of design are built.
