At Milan Design Week 2026, Lounge.60 celebrates the meeting of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design in Mario Arlati’s atelier
Designed by Alessandro Galbiati, Lounge.60 is a refined bar cabinet crafted from fine wood, rooted in a contemporary reinterpretation of 1960s and 1970s design. The project explores a balanced dialogue between form and function, guided by a commitment to durability and material integrity.
At its core lies wood, conceived as a living material—carefully selected and shaped by Italian artisans. This process lends each piece a distinct identity. Lacquered surfaces, warm tonalities, and harmonious proportions define a restrained aesthetic, where meticulous attention to detail becomes a signature element.
Conceived for domestic interiors and convivial settings, Lounge.60 seamlessly integrates storage and serving functions, emerging as a compact yet characterful presence within the space.

The project also introduces a bespoke color customization system, supported by dedicated digital tools that allow each piece to respond to its environment. Every edition is finished to order, numbered, and uniquely identifiable—underscoring its singular, non-serial nature.
The exhibition, hosted in artist Mario Arlati’s atelier on Via Alberto Nota 46, invites visitors into an intimate and thoughtfully curated setting. Here, Lounge.60 can be experienced up close, revealing the richness of its materials and the precision of its detailing, in a harmonious interplay between artisanal tradition and contemporary design.
