Cini Boeri in the Park Library
On the occasion of the centenary of the architect's birth (1924 -2020), Triennale Milano organized an exhibition together with the Cini Boeri archive inside the Sempione Park Library, designed in 1954 by Ico Parisi and Silvio Longhi. The exhibition space is crossed by a pink carpet, a visual leitmotif, designed to evoke the designer's home, which over the years has become a meeting point for friends, intellectuals and artists. The reading room of the Library, raised and illuminated by the semicircular glass wall, hosts some historical pieces from private collections, company archives and museums, which describe Cini Boeri's design through experiments with shapes and materials.
When: Until April 28, 2024 - from 11:00 to 20:00
Where: Sempione Park Library, viale Miguel de Cervantes - Free entry

Design for Communities
Design for Communities was born from the collaboration between the NGO LiveinSlums and the designer Giacomo Moor. In 2023 Giacomo Moor went to Mathare to create the furnishings for the dormitory of the Why Not Academy school, while this year he went to the slum to build the room used as a kitchen for the canteen together with the local inhabitants thanks to a system modular construction. A primary frame in solid wood, structural but light, punctuates the design of the façades and allows a series of secondary panels to flow inside. Alessandro Treves followed the construction of the architecture and presents in the exhibition a photographic work resulting from his long stay on the site.
When: until April 28, 2024 - from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Where: Assab One, via Privata Assab, 1 - Free entry with Assab One 2024 card (€10)

Dry Garden & Wet Movables by Gonzalez Haase for Marsèll
For some years - or perhaps forever - the limits and contradictions of the urban social model have been central to public debate and private conversations. Actions intended to subvert the system, to question it in a critical, ironic and significant way, have become a founding element of contemporary culture. The Berlin studio Gonzalez Haase AAS, invited by Marsèll to design the installation for Design Week 2024, reflects precisely on these issues.
When: until May 10, 2024, from 12:00 to 19:00
Where: Marsèll Showroom, via Paullo 12/A - Free entry

The Home Within
The new exhibition project by Formafantasma is a delicate reflection around the idea of the home, explored as a physical space and as a complex set of human and thematic relationships linked to personal identity and collective memory.
The title of the exhibition refers to an introspective vision of the domestic environment, where psychological and emotional nuances intersect. Starting from the memories linked to their homes of childhood, populated by decorative elements and handmade objects, Formafantasma sets out a critical reading of the ideological dogmas inherited from Modernism which identified rationality and sobriety as components to be promoted, in antithesis to ornamental tensions. Drawing inspiration from his own training, Formafantasma challenges the concept of canon which, in his masculine vision as an extension of rationality, tends to erase from the living space the sentimental elements and decorative characteristics that can create a dimension of domesticity.
When: until 19 July 2024 - Wednesday from 2pm to 6pm, Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 7pm
Where: ICA Foundation Milan, via Orobia 26 - Free entry

Satellite Universe. 25 years of SaloneSatellite.
This exhibition celebrates the anniversary of the event as a great wunderkammer where hundreds of objects imagined by as many designers shine, but also photographs and documents, catalogs and drawings, sketches and much more. The exhibition project, curated by Beppe Finessi in the spaces of the Triennale set up by Ricardo Bello Dias and with the graphic project of Studio òbelo, returns the strong, unitary and multifaceted idea of Marva Griffin, who over time has intertwined people, schools, entrepreneurs, companies around the projects of young designers.
When: until April 28, 2024 - from 11:00 to 20:00
Where: Triennale Milano, viale Alemagna 6 - Free entry
