The origin of the primordial reveals the soul of man and animal in unison, in their eternal purity
Within the historic vaults of Foro Buonaparte, the artist-artisan tells a new conscious vision toward nature and the process of creation, unexpectedly redefining the aura of nature itself, beginning precisely from the intense and untouched emotions that an animal such as the horse is able to share through all of its majestic and delicate elegance. And so, as had not happened for over a century, this animal welcomes us right here in Brera and invites us to leave the ordinary beyond the threshold, to once again be amazed by real life side by side.
The theme of Fuorisalone 2026, “Essere Proggetto,” invites us to rediscover design not as a finished form, but as a dynamic and responsible process. How did you interpret it?
Exactly through its dynamism, in the meaning of drawing/design as the genesis, in nuce, of infinite possibilities, where the idea is contact with a creation, a gesture, a moment, as an approach of study and dedication that, for me, extends into every smallest daily act. This year it has transformed into revealing one of my most intimate and profound passions and researches connected to the equestrian world. The ancestral bond that has always drawn me toward natural materials is, for me, a broader and more layered narrative made of awareness and research into deep emotions and knowledge, revealed as intimate and extraordinary within the animal aura, in the sound of a heartbeat, in the silence of a step.
A world that must also be extremely intense and deeply felt in the conception and creation of environments truly attentive to the animal itself. For years, within my stables, I have researched with respect and dedication monolithic stalls capable of expanding the horse’s space and well-being, equestrian interiors that are a project in becoming and the echo of the earth as a muse beyond time.
Works-worlds, for me, as the summa of an idea always evolving together with my own world.
After many years of working with materials, what still surprises you?
And where do you think this research can lead you today?
Destiny is unexpected yet awaited in every place, creation, and gesture of life. Within them lies the beauty of emotions beyond time, born from the austere dialogue between man, the world, and its materials. Working by hand with profound respect for every stone, wood, metal, and textile fiber, I firmly believe that within their essence lies the highest expression of origins, and that spaces and works can leave us in a state of pure listening — avoiding overload and forced elaborations.
Thus, in the future, the subtraction of gesture in favor of listening to ancient knowledge, made of contemplative and conscious acts, may lead me to continue its preservation. An example is the kitchen work PASSO, presented during Design Week, where the masterful art of mosaic is sculpted into stone like a sculptural canon that carries forward immense artisanal richness.
Is there a recent project you consider emblematic of your approach?
In connection with what I mentioned earlier: HENRYTIMI Stable. A story of artisanal dedication and respect for natural materials, translated into the equestrian sphere, yet rooted in a profound respect for a way of thinking based on extreme and austere essentiality and truth, listening only to that authentic bond with the world and the earth.
Not by chance, after ten years the gallery in Foro Buonaparte changed its appearance to immerse people into the cavern of a place that, while preserving its introspective sacredness, sought to intensify its force by breaking the white-box scheme in favor of a primordial, ancestral brown shadow. These are exactly the sensations generated when thinking about the importance of creation, of the possible future… a project in being: projects for places that, in a natural way, become the unavoidable trace of this.
Places such as environments of contact and connection between animal, man, and nature. A project that has also allowed me to continue a path of awareness, education, and renewed discipline for everyone, including young professionals, attempting to imagine from the roots a new consciousness. For the past year, in fact, I have shared with Fieracavalli Verona the message and mission of thoughtfully reimagining the equestrian landscape.
