The exhibition-through the story of the displays in the Foundation's rooms-brings out the aspect that many recognize in Achille: playfulness.
From an idea of Giovanna Castiglioni, Achille's youngest daughter, arose the desire to put on display the games of when she was a child. Designer Marco Marzini has created inside the Fondazione Achille Castiglioni a dynamic display with the pleasure of exhibiting unpublished materials, sometimes fragile, unobtainable, sometimes common to other people's childhoods, and will be a real pleasure to find a way, in some cases, for visitors to try out the games.

A special project developed as part of NODI. Culture, Business, and Trentino Wood Design, designed by Mario Botta and presented in Piazza Compasso d’Oro in front of the ADI Design Museum. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Cabanon retreat on the French Riviera, the project takes the form of a small, minimalist structure designed to engage with the Alpine landscape. Icosaedro reflects on dwelling in its most basic form, reducing space to its fundamental elements while maintaining a strong symbolic presence. Constructed entirely of Trentino wood, the project embodies the dialogue between tradition and modernity that characterizes NODI.

The first solo exhibition in Italy dedicated to Haruka Misawa, one of the most significant voices in contemporary Japanese design. The title—“little by little”—refers to a method grounded in subtle variations, careful observation, and almost imperceptible gestures. In contrast to today’s visual overload, Misawa’s practice invites us to dwell on the ordinary, revealing its unexpected potential.

Curated by Anna Quinz, explores design from Trentino-Alto Adige through the lens of play: a design landscape where tradition and experimentation, craftsmanship and industry, technical rigour and imaginative freedom coexist. Inspired by the Ladin word for the game of marbles, the project brings together historical objects, design icons, contemporary products and prototypes, offering a lively and layered overview that moves beyond Alpine stereotypes.

The exhibition transforms the Shed at Pirelli HangarBicocca into a feminine, dreamlike house-body: an intimate and political space where craftsmanship and symbolic ornament invite viewers to reclaim subjective time and imagine freedom.
 

A major retrospective dedicated to Lella Vignelli and Massimo Vignelli explores their decisive impact on international design and graphic culture, from Milan to New York, through objects, projects, and a shared language of clarity.

A monographic exhibition dedicated to Andrea Branzi, a central figure in Italian design culture and in design thinking between the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Through the perspective of Japanese architect and Pritzker Prize laureate Toyo Ito, the exhibition presents the most significant themes and projects of the Italian designer, bringing together installations, objects, and drawings in a dialogue that highlights the core ideas of Branzi’s work.

The project transforms the space into a domestic environment inhabited by hybrid works between art and design, opening a reflection on the relationship between the two. 

The exhibition explores the dialogue between Vico Magistretti’s minimalist design and Japanese aesthetics through projects, architectural works, and objects inspired by his travels and collaborations in Japan.
It brings together over twenty works and connects them to three key concepts of Japanese culture - wa, iro, and iki - highlighting affinities rooted in balance, the use of natural materials, and elegance.

A special itinerary through the works in the permanent collection, also featuring the most recent acquisitions. The exhibition presents the most significant objects in the collection, designed and produced between the 1930s and the 2000s, placing them in dialogue with the history of the Triennale and opening up new and unprecedented perspectives on the history of Italian design.

Through a selection of products from various fields, the exhibition demonstrates how materials can be created, modified, regenerated, or reimagined, offering insights into the role of chemistry as the foundation that makes design possible and shapes its evolution over time. This exhibition explores the connection between design and chemistry, beginning with the role of material transformation in the development of modern and contemporary design.
