The Spanish architect and designer based in Milan will redesign the hotel's spaces, which will also include a new garden designed by landscape architect and agronomist Flavio Pollano.

2021 will be a year of change for the Four Seasons Hotel Milano, which has chosen to temporarily close its doors to get a new look. The Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola will design the new project for the Milanese hotel, which opened in 1993 in a former 15th-century convent in the heart of the fashion district, while the interior garden will be redesigned by the landscape architect and agronomist Flavio Pollano.

The project, which will start in January, will involve a complete renovation of the spaces: from the common areas to the restaurant and bar, as well as the rooms, suites and all the meeting rooms. The completion of the first phase is expected by spring 2021, when Four Seasons Hotel Milano will reopen its doors, continuing the renovation work that will affect the rooms, suites and meeting rooms.

"This is an exciting new chapter for Four Seasons Hotel Milano. We have an incredible opportunity to reinvent what is already an iconic hotel with a great heritage, in one of the best locations in the world, and make it the most admired place in the city," said Andrea Obertello, Director of Four Seasons Hotel Milano.
